Blog changes, announcements.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:  (1) 10/7/11: Hope to get back to regular posts! My June 5 remark, due to summer, “Posts will be sporadic…” was an understatement! Not sure I feel ready, have winterizing to do, but today arrived here via unsuccessful effort to post a comment elsewhere, so post the thought here as today’s brief blog. (Later – may have found the ‘glitch’ but won’t investigate today.)  (2) I’m pleased to add 2 sites to blog roll: Econ-Natl and Intl, (The People’s Economist); and Humanity – All Aspects, Natl and Intl, (Cognitive Policy Works). There’s common ground between the two, and both join other blog roll links as  excellent matches for my blog theme. (3) Editing problems: I still have mega-work to do to fix editing needs, re-do neglected pages – especially ‘links’ and ‘fridge door’. I’ve often no way to let individual readers know of improvements, so occasionally post reminders here. ….. This blog’s overall theme? Questions, thoughts, and challenges that encourage us to know “who we are” and “how we can more closely realize deep human promise.”WELCOME! Comments and share options on nearly every page or post!

About maggieannthoeni

A description once given of me was "rooted in the earth while roaming the stars" - and this has felt 'right'. I believe in something akin to this for each of us. I am a passionate supporter of discovering the autonomous self while serving the whole as primary intent. I believe in discovery of innate principles, clearing the overlay of socialization that obscures this from us. I believe it is our responsibility to leave no one behind - most particularly to respond to suffering as best we can whereever we find it, whenever we are made aware. I believe in this for the insect as well as the most magnificent form of humanity. I believe in brother/sisterhood without boundary. I believe in righteous indignation when it is appropriate, but do not believe in an enemy. I believe in consciousness, in intelligence, in logic, in rationality, in emotion, in transcendence - and am convinced until we generally practice explore and honor all this in ourselves, we remain profoundly immature. (I believe real maturity is known and practiced by many young children, and not enough adults!)
